Nettleham Gardeners' Association Rules & Constitution
1. The Association is to be called the Nettleham Gardeners' Association.
2. The objectives of the Association are to be:-
a) Encouragement of the social aspect of gardening by means of meetings, shows and
competitions.
b) Improvement of knowledge of gardening principles by lectures, film shows and visits.
3. Membership is open to residents of Nettleham and surrounding area, on payment of the annual
subscription. Subscriptions are due and payable after 1st January in each year.
4. The officers shall consist of a President, Vice President, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Honorary
Treasurer and Secretaries. Excepting the President and Vice President, officers are to be elected
or re-elected at the Annual General Meeting each year.
5. The Committee shall consist of seven members including people nominated as the Show
Secretaries who together with the officers shall satisfy the management and business of the
Association. These people shall be subject to election or re-election at the Annual Genera! Meeting
each year.
6. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in March of each year, and the Association books
are to be closed on 31st December each year.
7. An Auditor shall be elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
8. The Association bankers shall be as determined by the Committee.
9. A Special General Meeting may be called at any time by the Committee or on the written
request of ten or more members of the Association.
10. The ordinary meeting shall generally be held on the first Wednesday of each designated month.
11. The Committee shall have the power to deal with any matter not provided for in the above
rules.
12 Any member in arrears for six months and who has been reminded at least once shall no longer
be considered to be a member.
